    What the rule says

Since March 22, 2019, importers of regulated composite wood products, and of articles that contain them (which includes furniture and component parts), must comply with CBP's TSCA import certification rules at 19 CFR 12.118 through 12.127. The importer or its authorized agent files a written or electronic certification with CBP before release of the shipment, in ACE or on the entry document or commercial invoice, stating that the shipment complies with all applicable TSCA rules and orders. This sits on top of the supplier-statement and recordkeeping duties in 40 CFR 770.30.
